The result for the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh's Milkipur and Tamil Nadu's Erode East constituencies will be declared today, alongside the Delhi assembly election results. The counting of votes for the two bypolls began at 8 am with postal ballots, followed by EVM votes.

The bypoll in Milkipur was necessitated when SP leader Awadhesh Prasad vacated the seat after winning the Faizabad Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The bypoll in Erode (east) was necessitated by the death of Congress legislator E.V.K.S. Elangovan.

Milkipur Bypoll Result

According to the election commission, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Chandrabhan Paswan defeated the Samajwadi Party candidate Ajit Prasad by more than 61,000 votes.

According to official figures from the Election Commission, Chandrabhanu Paswan of the BJP party got 1,46,397 votes.

The 370,829 voters of this constituency reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) will decide the fate of the 10 candidates in the fray,phmoba casino but the main contest is between Ajit Prasad of the Samajwadi Party and Chandrabhanu Paswan of the BJP.

Erode East Bypoll Result

According to the Election Commission's data, DMK's V.C. Chandhirakumar has taken the lead against NTK's M.K. Seethalakshmi.

The DMK candidate is leading by 7,837 votes, while the NTK candidate trails by a margin of 6,756 votes.

A total of 46 candidates, including 44 independents, contested the election, but the real contest was between the ruling DMK candidate V.C. Chandhirakumar and NTK leader M.K. Seethalakshmi.

Notably, opposition parties, including the main opposition AIADMKsolare, boycotted the polls.
